I am originally from Ghana. To be specific, from the Asante Kingdom and a native of Offinso. I moved to Finland to study in September 2008.

I’m a dedicated IT professional with over 8 years’ working experience in the software development industry.

I hold a BBA degree in Business Information Technology from Laurea University of Applied Sciences.

I moved to Finland in September 2008 and I have been working professionally in the IT industry since 2011, before and after my bachelor’s degree. While studying, I did my job training at Viope Solutions (specializes in e-learning platform for teaching and learning computer programming and mathematics), where I conducted African market research for the company. In the course of this research, I took the company to Ghana and Nigeria for the presentations of the company’s e-learning platform in various educational institutions. I found a sale representative in Nigeria for the company. After my job training, I was hired as a sales manager for Africa and Northern Europe. During that time I started the Viope African project with the intention of expanding Viope market share across Africa. As part of my work, I was also doing telephone sales in countries such as Sweden, Denmark Netherlands etc.

With my background in IT, I wanted to do more technical stuff, so in 2013, I joined Webropol Oy as a System Specialist and since then, I have been developing professionally. I worked at Webropol Oy for 6 years serving as a Product Owner in my last 2 years at the company. It was during that period that the new Webropol 3.0 started and deployed. I was also involved in major projects such as reporting and dashboard application (Product Manager), Online Survey Analytical Software (UI Designer), Sales Competency Software(Project Manager), Company Operational Software (UI Designer), Law proposal web application software (Prototyping the UI), Instant customer feedback system (Specifying requirement),Employee engagement software (Requirement Specification).

In march 2019, I moved from Webropol Oy after 6 years to work at KONE as Solution Design Owner through Manpower with one year contract. Six months into the job, KONE initiated the process to hire me as internal employee and November 2019 I was officially hire as KONE employee working as Solution Design Owner for KONE Elevator and Escalator Planner Tools.  I currently work as an Agile Coach at KONE Equipment R&D since June 2021.

I am also a professional wordpress webdesigner and I have designed numerous websites for clients.

I have in many occasions visited Laurea University of Applied Sciences as a guest lecturer on my profession and also life as an international student in Finland.

My believe is that, international student can create jobs for themselves or enhance their job search if they have the requisite industry skills.

Before Finland, I worked as a professional teacher for nearly 2 years with the Ghana Education Service. I hold a 3 –year Teacher Education Certificate ‘A’ from Wesley College of Education. I also worked with World Vision Ghana, Asante Akim (Agogo) branch as volunteer on a number of humanitarian projects from 2006-2008.
