I'm a dedicated IT professional with 4 years’ experience in the software development industry.
I have been working as System Specialist at Webropol Oy since 1.05.2013.
I hold a BBA degree in Business Information Technology from Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Since I moved to Finland in September 2008, I have been working professionally in the IT industry since 2011 before and after my graduation. While studying, I did my job training at Viope solutions (Specializes in e-learning platform for teaching and learning computer programming and mathematics), where I conducted African market research for the company. In the course of this research, I took the company to Ghana and Nigeria for the presentations of the company's e-learning platform in various institutions. I found a sale representative in Nigeria for the company. After my job training, I was hired as a sales manager for Africa and Northern Europe. During that time I started the Viope African project with the intention of expanding Viope market share across Africa. Viope received funding for the project. At the same time I was also doing telephone sales in countries such as Sweden, Denmark Netherlands etc.
With my background in IT, I wanted to do more technical stuff. In 2013, I joined Webropol Oy as a system specialist and since then, have been developing professionally and now works as a User Interface Designer in the same company.
I have some occasions visited Laurea University of Applied Sciences as a guest speaker on my profession and also life as an international student in Finland.
Having studied and working in Finland, I understand better the predicaments of international students in Finland and therefore decided to set-up Helsinki Axure Meetup to help other international students who have interest in design to learn and share industry design best practices.
My believe is that, international student can create jobs for themselves or enhance their job search if they have the requisite industry skills.
Before Finland, I worked as a professional teacher for nearly 2 years with the Ghana Education Service. I hold a 3 –year Teacher Education Certificate ‘A’ from Wesley College of Education. I also worked with World Vision Ghana, Asante Akim (Agogo) branch on a number of humanitarian projects from 2006-2008.
